Rise student ministries is Seymour Heights' intentional effort to invest in the lives of middle school and high school students. Because we have been raised to new life with Christ we want students to RISE to FOLLOW, DECLARE, and SERVE. We follow as we let Christ guide and transform our lives, declare Him through our worship and witness of His work in our lives, and serve by letting his love be displayed through our lives and into the lives of others.
SUNDAY MORNINGS
On Sunday mornings students are encouraged to attend one of our three main worship service. During our third service we provide a teaching time for all students 7-12th grade upstairs in the student ministry wing. This class is meant to challenge students to wrestle with truths in scripture and build a faith and understanding of their own. Students are also encouraged to serve, especially if they are here for more than one service. For service opportunities please see Chad.
WEDNESDAY NIGHTS
Our Rise midweek program begins at 6pm and finishes up around 8pm. Each week we share a meal together, play together, and worship together through music, Biblical teaching, and small groups.
BIG EVENTS
In addition to our weekly meeting times we desire to keep students moving by providing activities outside of the church. We attempt to do at least one activity a month that could range from a bowling event to an out of town weekend conference like CIY Believe or TCTC. To stay informed about upcoming events we ask all parents to join our parent mailing list by emailing our youth pastor, Chad Stowers.
