Keenagers Activities for 2009
The following times and places may change, so
you must check the church bulletin and sign-up
board by the kitchen. For “travel outings,” we
will collect $5 per person for gas, whether van(s)
or car pools are used for transport. Monthly sign-
up sheets for all activities will be posted by the
kitchen.

February 22 - Bingo at Sandy Whitener’s
home - 3 p.m. ‘til ??
Location - 305 Scenic Shore Way, Dandridge;
phone 397-8885. Covered dish carry-in. Bring a
white elephant gift (a gift you don’t want or
something nice. Wrap gift nicely and label “man,
woman, or unisex.”) Call Ann Knutson for details

March 14 - Cumberland Playhouse - “On
Golden Pond”
Vans will leave SHCC parking lot at 10 a.m. We
will eat lunch at the Golden Corral (Crossville).
Cost: $25 for play and gas (meal is extra). Paid
reservations due by March 1. Cost for play is
based on 20 or more in group attending. For info

April 18 - “Down and Dirty” (Helping others)
We are going to Peggy and Bill Blevins’ to do
yard work, picnic, and have a “church” service.
Meet in SHCC parking lot at 9:30 a.m. to
carpool. Bring gloves and tools to plant flowers,
trim bushes, and clean yard. Now, for fun - bring
a bag lunch which someone else will get to eat
(nourishing food please). Bring a drink for
yourself, water will be provided. For more info

May 9 - Trip to “Rugby, TN” - Learn about
our early settlers
Car pools leave SHCC at 9 a.m. and return about
6 p.m. We will have lunch in the area. For further
info call Betty Adkins at 908-4962. Cost: $5 for
gas, plus your lunch.
June 20 - Trip to Roane Mountain Flower Festival
Vans will leave SHCC
at 9 a.m. and will return about 5 p.m. We will eat at the State Park restaurant. Cost: $5 for gas, plus your lunch.

July 26 - Picnic at Sandy Whitener's
Boating begins at 2:00 p.m., meal at 5:00 p.m., followed by "songs by the sea".
July 28 - Smith Family Dinner Theater
Meet at the theater at 4:30 p.m; dinner is at 5 p.m., show
at 6 p.m. Cost: $19.50 plus tip. Please pay Ann Knutson
by Sunday, July 19. For further info call Ann at 577-7508.
August 16 - Talent Show at 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. at SHCC
Worship Center
Do you have talent? Me neither! But, if you can sing,
dance, tell stories, play an instrument, get a trio or quartet
together, do impersonations, or just relate a story about someone (ask them first) or, just be yourself! Let Bob
Berry (977-0225) or Ann Knutson (577-7508) know.
Rehearsals (if needed) will be held at the church on
Saturday, August 8; time to be announced. None will be
turned down!!
September... Dates to be announced - Overnight Trip
to Helen, Georgia
Shopping, mining or panning for gold included. Wear
comfortable walking shoes (shoes you don’t mind getting
wet or dirty while searching for a huge garnet or ruby, or panning for those heavy gold nuggets. Costs: To be

October 18 - Annual Fish Fry at Bob Berry’s
Bring a covered dish to share - our fellowship will begin
at 4 p.m. - eat at 5 p.m. There will be storytelling and
lawn games throughout. Bring your lawn chairs, big
appetites, and plan to have fun-fun-fun. Cost: Your
presence with a smiling face!
November... Date to be determined - Trip to Button
Hollow Dinner Theater
Theater is near Chattanooga. Further details, dates and
costs will be forthcoming. Bob Berry will be the contact
for this trip (977-0225).
November 14 - Game Night in SHCC Family Life
Center
Soup, sandwich, and dessert. Everyone bring sandwiches
and/or dessert to share. If you would like to make soup
for 20 people let Dot Blevins, Lee Dierenbach, Juanita
Cowden, Betty Adkins, or Ann Knutson know. We will
need 3 pots of soup or chili. Also, bring board games. For
more info, call Lee Dierenbach at 774-1797. We need a
head count for paper items needed, so please sign up by
the kitchen!
December 5 - Christmas Breakfast at Jeff and Mary
Case’s
Located at 3001 Kimberlin Heights Road, Knoxville.
Time: 10 a.m. - ?? Eggs, meats, juices, gravy will be
provided. Bring a sweet goody, or fruit, or salad, or such to share. Cost: warm and friendly fellowship!!
Also in December... Be watching for information about the annual JBC
Christmas meal and program. A great meal at 6 p.m.
followed by a fantastic program. Contact JBC for reservations.

Meet at restaurant (Hwy. 66, Sevierville) at 9 a.m.
April 14 - The Alamo Steak House
In Pigeon Forge. Meet at the restaurant at 6 p.m.
May 18 - The Gondolier in Sevierville
Meet at the restaurant at noon. Please let us know if
you plan to join us. Further info by calling Ann

June 14 - Picnic at Pigeon Forge Community Park
We will
cook hamburgers and hot dogs which “the Board” will
provide. Y’all can “chip in” to defray costs. Also,
bring covered dish to share, and 1 liter soft drink. Ice
and paper goods will be provided. Also, bring outdoor games and/or board games. Bob Berry will have a
“special game” for everyone. For more information

how much paper goods to bring.
July 16 - Set your Taste Buds for Z-MEX
Right here in Seymour, near Kroger and AdValue
Pharmacy. Meet at the restaurant for lunch at
1 p.m.
